Comey’s new book ‘A Higher Loyalty’ has been attacked by people of all sides. His book was very petty and showed that he clearly has a bias against President Trump.
“His face appeared slightly orange with bright white half-moons under his eyes where I assumed he placed small tanning goggles, and impressively coifed, bright blond hair, which upon close inspection looked to be all his…..As he extended his hand, I made a mental note to check its size. It was smaller than mine, but did not seem unusually so,” writes Comey in his book.
“If I had it to do over again I wouldn’t put that paragraph in, just because it gave people a hand-hold who hadn’t read the book to attack the book,” admitted Comey during his appearance on ‘The View’. In a previous interview, Comey defended his petty comments by saying it is something he could imagine his editor wanting him to write.
“I”m not making fun of the president. I’m trying to be an author, which I’ve never been before in my life. While I’m typing, I can hear my editor’s voice ringing in my head, ‘bring the reader with you. Show them inside your head. Bring them with you,’” said Comey in an NPR interview.
“‘Describe the president’s hands?’ Can you hear the editor saying that?” asked the interviewer. “No, but that was on my mind. And by the way, not that this matters, but I found his hands to be above average in size, and so I’m not making fun of the man, I’m trying to tell the reader what’s in my head,” said Comey.
