Openly gay athlete Adam Rippon was the center of attention during the Winter Olympics for his outspoken negative commentary about Vice President Pence.
Rippon made an issue out of nothing by making sure everyone in the world knew he would not meet with Pence during the Olympic games. Now, for some reason, Rippon says he would talk to Pence if he called him. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the Olympics being over, and those camera crews no longer around.
washingtonexaminer.com reports: U.S. figure skater Adam Rippon — the first openly gay U.S. athlete to compete in the Winter Olympics — said he would now accept a call from Vice President Mike Pence.
“I was offered a phone call with the vice president that I decided not to take before the games,” Rippon told the “Today” show. “I didn’t take the phone call because I needed to focus on the competition.”
But Rippon says now he would “totally” take the phone call.
