On Tuesday night, President Trump delivered an epic State of the Union Address in which he touted how well his America First agenda has been working for our country, but the Muslim director of the ACLU took issue with one particular word, and it has patriots everywhere reeling.
Oddly enough, the American Civil Liberties Union’s (note the first word in the organization’s name) National Political Director Faiz Shakir took issue with the President’s speech for a reason that even the best theorist on the planet couldn’t explain – he said “America” too many times. I’m not kidding, folks.
In his response to President Trump’s speech, Shakir, a Muslim-American who’s worked for organizations such as Think Progress and the Center for American Progress – both Soros-funded, anti-American devil groups – as well as worked for former Nevada Sen. Harry Reid and California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, took serious issue with Trump saying the word “America” 80 times, CNS News reported.
Why, you might ask?
Because it’s “exclusionary” and “divisive” — I kid you not.
Here’s what Shakir had to say in his written response [emphasis added]:
Tonight, President Trump said the word ‘America’ more than 80 times in his speech. Yet, after a divisive first year, we hear and feel how exclusionary that ‘America’ is, with policies that have harmed so many vulnerable American communities. The ACLU stands ready to protect these communities, both in the courts and at the polls.
In particular, the immigration plan put forth by Trump would hold Dreamers hostage to his demands for a harmful border wall and an even larger mass deportation force. We are at this crossroads because of the President’s deeply destructive ideas fomented by his nativist allies and divisive rhetoric. We will continue to stand up for these young immigrants and ensure they continue to contribute to our country. We cannot let America’s Dreamers be deported.
Given Shakir’s background – he’s a hardcore leftist Muslim – we’re not too surprised he’s triggered by the word “America,” but what is rather interesting is that President Trump proposed giving amnesty to double the number of so-called “DREAMers” than Democrats had demanded, making Shakir’s comments way off the mark — a typical leftist tactic used to deceive their followers into believing their alternative reality.
Trump actually proposed a “Four Pillars” compromise that would include a path to citizenship for 1.8 million illegal alien children brought here when they were underage (Democrats previously insisted on around 800,000), if they meet certain criteria that would prove they’d make good American citizens, such as education, work, and character requirements. The plan would also include full border security, a wall where needed, more border patrol agents, and an end to both the “diversity lottery” and chain migration, making only children and spouses eligible for sponsorship.
Again, America first. We’re not the Kidney Foundation; we’re not here to provide the world with charitable donations or safe haven, we’re here to be as prosperous and innovative as possible so we can compete in the global economy and maintain our position at the top — an impossible feat if we keep letting people into our country who hate our way of life.
“These four pillars represent a down-the-middle compromise, and one that will create a safe, modern, and lawful immigration system,” Trump said. “For over 30 years, Washington has tried and failed to solve this problem. This Congress can be the one that finally makes it happen.
“Most importantly, these four pillars will produce legislation that fulfills my ironclad pledge to only sign a bill that puts America first. So let us come together, set politics aside, and finally get the job done.”
An excellent line, but unfortunately it’s merely wishful thinking as long as people like Shakir continue to be triggered by America but run organizations named after our country.
Such a conundrum for his poor soul, eh?
