Trumps New Executive Order Allow Police Officers To Enforce Immigration Laws

President Trump today gave the police the tool they need to enforce immigration laws!

According to this program, the Department of Homeland Security can act in enforcing federal immigration laws. This would involve following a person’s immigration status via routine contact. This also applies to those who may have committed crime.

Obama limited this program to checking local violators of immigration laws, but now everything will be done properly.

Former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona was the loudest particiant in this program, and some didn’t like it at all.

Civil rights groups and immigration advocates disapproved the program, claiming that it will harm the right of immigrants. Yes, Arpaio was accused of doing this. The Center for Immigration Studies is already looking forward to the comeback of this program.

The revival of the Secure Communities program obliges authorities to check the fingerprints of suspects taken into custody to identify those who needed to be deported to their homeland.

Local law enforcement agencies gave green light to this order, noting that their officers will help federal immigration agents. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office in Texas is one of these.

Jackson County Sheriff A.J. “Andy” Louderback’s estimations suggest that the department will spend over $3,000 for the training of the deputies who will take part in the program. He also noted that this will be a smart investment cause the country needs that.

“It just seems like good law enforcement to partner with federal law enforcement in this area,” revealed Louderback. “It takes all of us to do this job.”

What do you think about the revival of this program?
