Hollywood movie star Denzel Washington didn’t hold back calling out the media for withholding the truth and only caring about the viewership.
The actor talked to the reporters on Tuesday at the premiere of his latest movie “Fences”, and here is what he said, “If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed; if you do read it, you’re misinformed.” So what a responsibility you all have — to tell the truth,” the director told a group of reporters.
“In our society, now it’s just first — who cares, get it out there. We don’t care who it hurts. We don’t care who we destroy. We don’t care if it’s true. Just say it, sell it. Anything you practice you’ll get good at — including BS,” he said, and translated everything the conservatives have been thinking up until now.
At the beginning of 2016, Denzel Washington, who supports Clinton, was included in a “BS” story of this sort, after which it was stated that he was the supporter of Donald Trump, not Clinton.
He has the total right to act out in the way he did. The media harmed America more than any other political leader and while the conservatives are trying to share the truth on social media, they are called out for spreading “fake news.”
What Denzel Washington did was to confront the media they needed, so they could learn their lesson hopefully and start acting seriously.
And yes, we definitely need more people land celebrities like him in Hollywood.
Thank, you, Mr. Washington!
