Nancy Pelosi wasted no time going after Ben Carson saying he’s “disconcerting and disturbingly unqualified choice” for the top position of Housing and Urban Development
Pelosi added that America needs people with “relevant experience” who will fight for the rights of homeowners and renters.
“There is no evidence that Dr. Carson brings the necessary credentials to hold a position with such immense responsibilities and impact on families and communities across America,” said Pelosi.
“Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a presidency representing all Americans,” Trump said as he defended Carson.
Rep. Dana Rohrabacher believes that Carson could be the next secretary of state, and says it’s “terrific” how President-elect Donald Trump did better in diplomatic issues when he spoke directly to the leader of Taiwan.
Trump made the final decision, and Ben Carson became secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Trump’s transition office announced this decision on Monday, as the formation of Trump administration is reaching the final spots.
Trump once said that he is “thrilled to nominate” Carson, explaining that he “has a brilliant mind and is passionate about strengthening communities and families within those communities.”
As Breitbart reports, Carson was reluctant about the possibility to join Trump’s administration. Speculations went too far, and some claimed that Carson could be head the sprawling Department of Health and Human Services.
Do you think our President-elect made the right decision? What will it bring?
