Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona, went down with the electoral defeat, and it seems like Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, Sheriff David Clarke is taking the top position of most awesome lawman in America.
But, the latest reports announce he is aiming towards a bigger target.
As Conservative Tribune reports, Clarke had a meeting with President-elect Donald Trump in Trump Tower this Monday, and it was a lot more than just a courtesy call. Clark may be nominated for the leading position in the Department of Homeland Security.
Trump had another meeting with Bush-era homeland security official Fran Townsend, and made plans to have a meeting with House Homeland Security Chairman Mike McCaul of Texas on Tuesday.
Rudy Giuliani, Kansas secretary of state and immigration hawk Kris Kobach, retired four-star Gen. John F. Kelly and the aforementioned Sheriff Arpaio were some of the options, too.
Sources say that Clark would gladly take any position Trump picks for him.
Clark’s appearance is acceptable for some and totally inappropriate for others, but the man is know for his manner of handling issues, which includes the Black Lives Matter movement and other protests.
According to Sheriff Clarke, it is nothing but a “domestic hate group” that tries to harm the police brutally.
“We ended that back in the ’60s,” Clarke said for Fox News. “You look at the data and the research, and there’s a new Harvard study out that shows that there is no racism in the hearts of police officers. They go about their daily duty, if you will, to keep communities safe.”
Clarke’s speech e at the Republican National Convention this summer favored Trump, and let’s admit it, our President-elect didn’t had the best position back then.
Trump respects loyal people. What will the sheriff get for his loyalty?
